나의 끝에 남는 것,

이번 기획전은 유연하지만, 단단한 재료의 순수성을 극대화한 본질과 미학적 구성 디자인 Format은 무한한 시도와 공상 속에서 존재하며, 속성을 다루는 Craftmanship에서 부터 시작됩니다.

Raw, 아름다움의 본질, 그 속성 중 하나 인 소재(素材)를 남겨 근원적인 물체 사물의 존재에 대한 사유와 흐름을 나타냅니다. 예술 작품에서 내용 또는 기반이 되는 재료이자, 불필요한 많은 요소를 내포한 산업적인 제품과 다양성 속에 고유한 소재(所在)는 사물의 기본, 위치를 뜻하며 구성된 사물은 형태의 변주에 따라 새로운 단순하지만 아름다운 Format Design으로 이어집니다.

이번 'Raw Formet'전시는 불필요한 부속에 불가한 요소들을 제거하고 본질적인 재료를 드러내어 원초적인 순수성을 재 구성합니다.

공예 적인 시선에 빗대어 재료와 사람이 만나 빗어낸 섬세한 본질적 가치를 되짚어 보며 마음과 손으로, 끝에 남겨진 낭만적인 재료의 미학, 순수함을 제시합니다.

What Remains at the End of Me

This exhibition explores the essence and aesthetic composition of materials—flexible yet firm—maximizing their purity. The format of design exists within boundless experimentation and imagination, beginning with craftsmanship that engages with the intrinsic nature of materials.

Raw, as the essence of beauty, leaves behind the material (素材) as one of its core attributes, evoking contemplation on the existence and flow of fundamental objects. In literature and art, raw material is the foundational substance, and in an era filled with industrial products overloaded with unnecessary elements, the inherent material (所在) signifies the fundamental nature and position of an object. The assembled forms evolve into new Format Designs through variations in shape.

Stainless | Aluminum | Soil

The Raw Format exhibition reconstructs the primal purity of materials by stripping away superfluous components. It reflects on the delicate, essential values shaped by the convergence of material and human touch through a lens of craftsmanship.

With heart and hand, it presents the aesthetic of raw materials—what remains at the end—offering a vision of pure, romantic simplicity.

Form as Function

The core objective of this project is to integrate functionality into simple forms, embodying the essence of minimalism. By refining the elegance of curved lines and achieving a sense of balance and harmony, we seek to reinterpret the aesthetics of Eastern beauty through a contemporary lens. FORMET presents objects that seamlessly merge form and function, offering a new perspective on user-friendly, design-driven products.

Exploring Materials

While honoring the value of traditional craftsmanship, we embrace a modern approach to sustainable product development. At the heart of our philosophy lies the concept of "Raw"—the unrefined beauty of materials in their purest state. By preserving the integrity of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Soil, we emphasize the fundamental nature of materials, reconstructing the primal purity of objects into contemporary design.

Sustainability & Artisanal Collaboration

A key pillar of this initiative is the connection with local artisans, fostering research into the value and sustainability of handcrafted goods. Each product is crafted using natural materials and eco-conscious production methods, ensuring a responsible and meaningful design process. Through collaboration with Korean craft artists, every piece tells a unique story—transcending its physical utility to become a symbol of cultural identity and artistic heritage.

형태로써 기능하는 것

본 기획의 가장 중요한 목표는 단순한 형태에서 기능적인 요소를 더한 미니멀리즘의 지향점을 담아냅니다. 디자인에서 오는 곡선의 라인의 우아함과 정돈감을 더해 간결한 '동양적인 미' 를 현대적으로 재해석한 디자인을 추구합니다. Formet 형태는 기능과 함께 융합하여 사용자 친화적인 새로운 가능성을 가진 제품, 사물로 제시됩니다.

소재에 대한 연구

공예의 가치를 계승하면서도, 현대적인 시각을 반영한 지속 가능한 상품 개발은 Raw, Raw 날것 그대로의 아름다움의 본질, 그 속성 중 하나 인 소재(素材)를 남겨 근원적인 물체 사물의 존재에 대한 사유와 흐름을 나타냅니다. 소재 Stainless l Aluminum l Soil의 단순성을 극대화해 본질적인 재료를 드러내어 원초적인 순수성을 재 구성합니다.

이번 기획안의 중요한 축으로 지역의 작가와 연결하여 공예상품의 가치와 지속가능성에 대한 연구를 담고 있습니다.

천연 재료와 환경 친화적인 생산 방식을 활용하여 제작되었으며, 각 제품의 제작 과정에서 한국 공예 작가들과의 협업을 통해 고유의 스토리를 담고 있습니다. 공예품의 물리적 쓰임을 넘어서, 문화적 가치와 정체성의 상징으로 표현됩니다.

하경아작가는 거친흙을 찬미하는 도자 작가로 흙이 품은 자연의 아름다움을 그릇속에 그대로 담아냅니다.자연의 색에대해 고유의 질감에 대한 연구를 멈추지 않고새로운 시도를 꾸준히 나아가고 있습니다.

하경아 작가의 작업 방식과 규모에서 더 확장된 제작 라인의 협업으로 작가의 거친 질감의 표면의 디자인을 극대화 하여 새로운 흙, 재료 사용의 연구와 제작 기법을 강조합니다. 이번 PULBAT과 함께한 전시를 통해 조명 라인의 협업으로 새로운 가능성을 모색합니다. 작가의 고유의 질감 표현을 극대화한 기물의 마감새 부분의 거친 질감을 살려 세라믹의 한계를 넘어 실제적 질감을 최대한 재구현 하여 자연물 '돌'과 같은 기법을 강조합니다.

The deep black hue emerges through the rhythmic impressions left by the potter’s hands on the wheel. Each groove, each subtle ridge, captures the essence of craftsmanship—an intimate dialogue between the maker and the clay. The result is a rich, profound black, shaped by time, touch, and tradition.

정순철 작가 X PULBAT | 純眞無垢(순진무구) Black Line

작가는 자연의 재료, 흙의 본질로부터 시작된 흙의 질감을 통해 순진무구함은 그 속성속에, 본연의 색을 전달합니다. 순철 작가만의 특유의 멋을 담아 고유의 것으로부터 남겨진 흙의 티끌마저 자연스러움을 추구한 우리의 멋을 담아낸 PULBAT과 함께한 이번 純眞無垢(순진무구)의 시리즈 블랙라인은 토양의 흙, 기반이 되는 색감과 질감을 존중하며, 인위적인 꾸밈없이 흙 자체의 성질을 드러냅니다.물레 위에서 손의 움직임에 따라 형성된 결은 모양만큼 수작업의 아름다움과 우리 고유의 것의 역사와 가치를 지닌 도자기로 구성되었습니다.각각의 홈, 각각의 미묘한 손의 결의 능선은 도공(陶工)과 흙이 맺는 본 재료의 특성을 기반으로 친밀한 관계를 통해 공예적 정신의 본질을 포착합니다.

복잡한 장식이나 화려함보다는 단순하고 절제된 디자인을 담아낸 '소박한 미'에 담긴 유려한 곡선의 잔, 접시, 화병 등 실용성과 예술성이 공존하는 PULBAT’s Collection을 통해 우리의 삶 속에서도 공예의 가치를 경험할 수 있습니다. 꾸밈 없이 검소한 순진무구한 미학을 담아낸 이번 전시를 만나보세요.

Jung Soonchul X PULBAT | 純眞無垢 (Pure and Innocent) Black Line

Artist Jung Soonchul explores the essence of purity and innocence through the natural material of clay. He respects the innate textures and colors of the soil, seeking to reveal its raw beauty without artificial embellishments. In collaboration with PULBAT, the "Pure and Innocent" Black Line collection embraces the deep, earthy hues and organic surface textures of clay, reinterpreting the essence of traditional ceramics with a contemporary perspective.

Each piece, shaped by hand on the wheel, captures the subtle ridges and grooves formed by the artist's touch, preserving the intimate relationship between the craftsman and the material. These delicate details reflect the very essence of craftsmanship, where the purity of the medium and the sincerity of the process converge.

Rather than excessive ornamentation or lavish designs, this collection embodies the philosophy of "humble beauty", where simplicity and restraint define elegance. The soft, flowing curves of cups, plates, and vases in PULBAT’s Collection offer a refined balance between functionality and artistic expression, allowing traditional aesthetics to naturally integrate into modern living spaces.

PULBAT is dedicated to sustainability and the thoughtful appreciation of craftsmanship. Through this collaboration, we continue to explore the deeper meaning of handmade objects and their role in contemporary life, honoring tradition while embracing the present.

Vanishing Traces of Euljiro: A Collaboration Honoring Diversity and Craftsmanship

This collaboration seeks to capture the fading essence of Euljiro—a district once brimming with industrial diversity and artisanal expertise. Nestled in the heart of Seoul, its narrow alleyways hold an unspoken beauty, a place where the echoes of steel being forged and the scent of iron still linger. For those who know, the history of this place remains deeply ingrained in its fabric. Once a hub for experimental artists and young visionaries, this aging industrial zone moves at a slower pace, preserving its significance. The raw authenticity of this collaboration, shaped through hands-on craftsmanship with factory owners, is a testament to an era that deserves to be remembered.

San Tray: The Craftsmanship

Behind Every Curve

Every form carries the weight of artisanal value—nothing is made without intention. San Tray is a sculptural object where fluid curves evoke the silhouette of mountain ridges, seamlessly blending softness with structural solidity. The tray’s elevated peaks provide an ergonomic advantage, making it effortless to lift and handle. Crafted from anodized aluminum, its surface is reinforced with a highly durable layer, significantly extending the product’s lifespan and enhancing its versatility across various environments.

사라지는 을지로 일대의 다양성, 기술의 흔적을 찾아 이번 협업은 서울 한복판에 위치한 좁은 골목의 아름다움을, 철강의 소리와 쇠의 냄새의 아는 사람들이라면, 이곳의 역사는 아직도 그대로 남아있다. 실험적 예술을 하던 젋은이들의 오래된 산업지대는 시간이 느리게 흘러가는 장소로서 그 의미와 매력을 공장 사장님과 만들어낸, 날것의 그 느낌은 오래도록 간직 될 것이다.

하나의 원도 그냥 만들어지지 않는 공예적인 가치. easy Handy San Tray

유려한 곡선은 산의 능선을 떠오르게도 한다. 부드러움과 단단함이 혼재된 제품 'San Tray '는 솟아있는 산모양의 형태는 쉽게 들어올릴 수 있는 장점이 있다. 아노다이징 표면처리로 알루미늄의 표면에강력하고 내구성 있는 층을 추가함으로써, 알루미늄 제품의 수명을 대폭 연장시키고, 다양한 환경에서의 사용성을 높여준다.
